MELGAB INTERNATIONAL CC has been in operation since 1993. We are arguably the largest importers of Italian wines to South Africa with a strong cultural connection that keeps us in continuous contact with the Italian, European and International food and wine sectors.
At Melgab, we strive to source exclusive food and beverage products and make them available to our South African clients at affordable prices. We pride ourselves on delivering a professional service with the interest of establishing and maintaining close and personal business relationships with customers and producers alike.
Amongst our many suppliers, we are exclusive distributors in South Africa for GIV, Medici, Masi (Toscana), Casanova di Neri, Castello della Paneretta, Zaccagnini, Santa Maria La Palma, Distillerie A&G and several other high quality small producers. We are also exclusive importers and distributors for Champagne Canard Duchêne.
Since 2003 we import several ranges of Californian wines from Ironstone Vineyards. With regards to Spain, we are exclusive agents for Bodegas Murviedro and Tikalo groups.
Our most important customers in SA are the Woolworths Group, Spar, Makro and Shoprite-Checkers. We also supply the best wine shops in the country as well as many South African and Italian restaurants, especially in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Furthermore, we have an excellent relationship with the Wine of the Month Club, which selects wines on a monthly basis for sale? and distribution to its members.
We can distribute to all major centres nationwide, while several exclusive agents take care of our sales and distribution to wine shops, restaurants, etc. in Johannesburg, Cape Town and on the East Coast.
