Comment on Laborie Estate by Diana Procter

Ommiberg: lovely setting, wines are amazing value for money. Generous pours for tasting. Tasted tank sample sauvignon blanc and barrel sample of shiraz 2009. MCC Brut is a must-buy.

Comment on Rhebokskloof Wines by Diana Procter

Busy Ommiberg day had the tasting room spinning a bit, but in spite of a hiccup or two, service was friendly and cheerful. Impressed by 2007 Chardonnay and both Shirazes. Gardens are beautiful. Look forward to returning for a picnic and music event. Tank samples viognier and chardonnay.

Comment on Mellasat Vineyard by Diana Procter

Ommiberg: charming property, very pretty setting with tables out under trees. Pity the wines aren't as appealing. Novelty value in the white pinotage, but quite frankly, why bother? Dekker's Valley wines are too expensive to offer good value at the quaffer level. Flagship M red blend shows promise.

Friendly, cheerful service on busy Ommiberg day, everyone having lots of fun. Tank samples of chenin and rose on offer. Wines are reasonably priced. We'll go back for the pinotage.

Comment on Strandveld Vineyards by Drew Master

been visiting strandveld ever year we go to Elim and Conrad makes is special everytime we visit. If he is not there he leaves specific instructions for the U.S.W.C.S to get special treatment we even forget that we are students . he gave us the best vertcal tastings of the Pinot noir and Syrah

Comment on Zoetendal by Drew Master

The one thing that makes all the elim wineries worth visiting is that they are actually excited and happy when students visit and the Wine makers and owners make special effort to share the wines with the us. Johan opened especially for us when we went to Zoetendal and he gave us a first class tasting. If only all Wineries where like this more students would drink more wine and eventually buy more and visit more.

Comment on The Berrio Wines by Drew Master

The is the flashiest of the Elim wineries but they are not over the top. They have a simple classic tasting centre overlooking the elim main road. The wines are equally simple yet classic what stands out is their aging potential particularly for white wine. watch out for the 08 weather girl

I recommend the Amelie - a interesting flavour sensation. Atmosphere outside under the trees is warm and relaxing.

Comment on Cape Point Vineyards by Beatrix Bruin

The Isliedh is the very-very best white wine I have ever tasted! It is to die for, and worth the price. The wine farm's tasting area does not have much atmosphere, but the sommelier was knowledgeable and friendly. The fantastic wine makes up for the lack of character of the location.

Your wines are definately the best. Love The Tin Wine collection. Those of you who haven't tried it yet you're missing out on some really good wines
