The wines of Paolo Bosoni and Cantine Lunae draw on prestigious origins from ancient history. In fact, it was probably the Etruscans or perhaps even the Ancient Ligurians and then the Romans who cultivated vines in the surroundings of beautiful Luni, the city of the moon.

In 1966 Paolo Bosoni started looking after the farm which was handed down from his father and from his father's father: many generations which created a link with this land through their tireless and silent work, with the love of routine activities brought about by every season, with the wisdom and poetry of people working hand in hand with nature.

100% Vermentino from Ortonovo and Castelnuovo Magra

Not Liguria nor Etruria, but among the hills facing the Magra river plain that overlook the sea.

The Lunae Bosoni's Vermentino is rooted in a gentle land and surrounded by remnants of ancient Roman farms while mediaeval and renaissance palaces look upon them from afar.

Cold maceration of crushed grapes, followed by gentle settling of the must and off-skins fermentation at controlled temperature.

In stainless steel during the refining and stabilizing stages; then for a short period in bottle in order to balance the primary organolpetic characteristics with those developed during the fermentation.

Pale straw yellow with golden reflections. Intense and persistent to the nose with very refined and elegant hints of wild flowers (broom is noticeable) and pleasant undertones of acacia honey and woodland resins. To the palate it is fresh and harmonious with reverberations of Wild flowers and fresh fruits. Barely perceptible and intriguing almondy finish.

12% alcohol volume.

Thanks to its rich structure, this wine is particularly suited to seafood dishes (sea bass in salt, fish buridda, Ligurian fillings, sea bass baked in paper, Catalan lobster) as well as white meats and vegetables.

Serving temperature 10°C.

Ready and suitable for all occasions, it has an exquisite ability to acquire more refinement over time.
