The farm "Casanova di Neri" was founded in 1971 when Giovanni Neri bought a large estate within the Montalcino territory. The farm is 35 hectares of vineyards divided into 4 allotments in various areas: the "Pietradonice" in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, the "Cetine" in S. Angelo in Colle, the "Cerratalto" and the Fiesole" near the homonymous farmhouse opposite to Montalcino.

100% Sangiovese which in Montalcino is called Brunello.

Produced 28,980 bottles.

Fermentation and Maceration: 22 days.
Refined in French oak barrels for 24 – 30 months and in bottles for at least 1 year.

Dark color with intense blackberry, chocolate and lightly toasted oak. Full-bodied and ultravelvety, with caressing tannins. Vanilla, chocolate and berry. Goes on for minutes. Best after 2010. 4,830 cases made. (JS)
