The farm "Casanova di Neri" was founded in 1971 when Giovanni Neri bought a large estate within the Montalcino territory. The farm is 35 hectares of vineyards divided into 4 allotments in various areas: the "Pietradonice" in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, the "Cetine" in S. Angelo in Colle, the "Cerratalto" and the Fiesole" near the homonymous farmhouse opposite to Montalcino.

90% Cabernet Sauvignon
10% Sangiovese

The agronomist's attention, the correct distance between the plants, the uniqueness of the microclimate and the components of the earth have produced a wine with exceptional analytical values. It has a deep colour, and it has been aged in new barriques for 18 months. Using the experience of Tenuta Nuova, the Sant'Antimo Rosso DOC Pietradonice has been created by planting Cabernet Sauvignon in this "terroir" to see how vines other than Sangiovese perform in the Montalcino area.
