Covides, with its 800 associates, is the most important wine cooperative in Catalunya. Since its foundation, in 1964, has attained a series of social recognition and prizes, being one of the most important the one given by the king Juan Carlos I as an « exemplary cooperative ».

Macabeo, Xarel-lo, Parellada

Made using the traditional Champagne method, this wine is made from a selection of their best grapes. Second fermentation in bottle and the wine is kept on its lees for 15 months.

After a painstaking production process and careful subsequent blending, the wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle. During this period and for many months to follow, the bottles are allowed to rest on their sides so as to develop a refined and very characteristic bouquet. Disgorgement and the final addition of the traditional "Expedition liqueur" are carried out before the product is released for consumption.

Bright straw colour, fresh aromas of herbs and apples, full and long finish, fine and persistent mousse.

12% alcohol vol, 10 residual sugar, 2.92 pH, 0.33 volatile acidity, 3.8 total acidity.

Excellent as an aperitif, with white fish and any light courses.

Serving temperature: 6-8ºC.
