100% Cabernet Franc

Along an ideal east-west orientation on the hilly region of Collio, in the province of Gorizia on the border with Slovenia, there stretches one of Italy’s most celebrated wine-producing areas. A highly effective vine-growing system has been developed on extensive south-facing terrain, in ideal conditions. Trained by the Cordone Speronato system.

Vinified by the traditional red wine method with 10 days maceration followed by frequent pumping overs. 80% of the wine is matured for about 6 months in stainless steel and the rest spends time in new American oak casks.

Bright, dark, ruby red colour; deep bouquet of cut grass, blackberries and raspberries with soft, spicy hints. Dry, full tannic flavour, balanced and pleasing.

13% alcohol, 5.2 g/l total acidity, 3.5 pH, 1.0 g/l sugar, 24.0 g/l dry extract.

Lamb, red meats and mature cheeses.

Serving temperature: 18°C.

3–4 years in bottles stored horizontally in cool, dark conditions.
