One of the longest lasting wines in Italy, Amarone is produced with the same grapes used to make Valpolicella but which are left to ‘rest’ over the wintertime in dry? and airy granaries. The resulting wine which is made from them is left to mature for at least two years to become Amarone: a dry, full-bodied wine with a rich complex? bouquet? and a full bodied palate?, which can benefit from a few hours of breathing. The wine is suited to ageing, and will develop further aged character and complexity? over the years.
French and Slavonian oak? barrels for 48 months and 6 months in bottle.
Robust, full, big?, sweet and lively. Packed with rich raspberry?, blackberry, rosemary? and cassis? flavors?. Deep, dark and inviting, the finish? is long, lingering and full of ripe tannins.
