The Mastroberardino family has been immersed in the culture and society of winemaking for around three centuries. The most authoritative reports suggest that one Berardino, taking the professional title 'Mastro' - master craftsman - began the lineage in the seventeen hundreds. Once it had chosen its headquarters in Atripalda in the heart of the Irpinia winemaking region^?, still the site of the ancient cellars, the family inextricably linked its fate to the cult of wine.

Since then, ten generations have run the business, seeing periods both of expansion and of difficulty, recurring circumstances in the history of family business’ of ancient origin.

100% Coda di Volpe del Vesuvio. A wine with a prestigious name and a history entwined with legend: God cried as he found a corner of heaven stolen by Lucifer. Where his tears^? fell, there grew the Lacryma Christi vine. Given the extraordinary nature of the territory, where the vine must^? struggle through terrain rich in ash, lava and volcanic rock, who could ignore such natural force in the expression of aromas and flavours^??

Volcanic soil. Guyot^? and pergola training systems. Period of harvest: First half of October. Yield^? per hectare^?: 8000 kg.

Off-skins vinification^? followed by a 3 months stay on the yeast^?.

The wine is released shortly after completion for maximum freshness.

Colour: Straw yellow.
Bouquet^?: Hints of pineapple, white peach^?, with typical suggestions of liquorice.
Palate^?: A well-structured and balanced wine, showing fine fruit supported by a rich mineral^? backbone.

Alcohol^? content 12.5%.

Versatile and adaptable to a wide range of dishes: ideal with ‘antipasto’ starters, seafood risottos and pastas, and grilled fish.

Serving temperature 10°C.

Best enjoyed within 2 years from harvest.
