The philosophy that inspires the work carried out at the winery is the same philosophy that has prevailed, generation after generation, turning the men and women who work at our bodega into true experts in the art of ageing wines: grapes from the best estates and vineyards, casks made of the best oak from European and American forests, and all of this enhanced by the care and know-how of people who love wine above all else.

100% Riojan Tempranillo

A careful selection of grapes from vineyards in Haro and surrounding areas (Armentari, Los Hoyos, La Cañada, El Pago and Arenales) picked during the second week in October.

Fermentation on the skins at controlled temperatures.

The wine was aged for 14 months in American oak casks. This was followed by another 8 months in underground bottle racks.

Bright, deep, ruby-red. Aromas of ripe wild berries (blackberries and red currants) to the nose, against a subtle background of vanilla, ground pepper and bay leaves. Hefty in the mouth, with clean aromas of smoky wood well integrated into ripe fruit. Persistent, spicy finish.

12.5% alcohol vol.

Try with cold cuts, light cheeses, and meat, and even blue fish.

Serving temperature: 16-18°C.

3-4 years.
