The Masi family has been making wine for three generations. It currently produces a wide range of wines (white, rose, red and dessert) from a variety of grapes all of which come from the area of Rufina and its surroundings (except for the Bianco Vergine Valdichiana).

95% Sangiovese
5% Colorino

This is the basic wine of the Fattoria, yet Masi's search for the highest quality applies to all their vineyards, not only to the most suited ones where the Riserva and Crus wines are grown.

Fermentation with maceration (skin contact) of about 20 days.

The wine ages for eight months in 2nd and 3rd passage French oak barrels.

Deep ruby red colour. Intense and complex floral bouquet with undertones of wild forest fruits. On the palate it is full, round and harmonious, with an excellent tannic structure.

13.5% alcohol vol.

Soup and pasta dishes, white meats and medium-ripened cheeses.

Serving temperature: 18°C.

3-4 years.
