100% Riesling

This wine is made of grapes stemming from Viña San Pedro’s vineyards of Riesling in the Curicó Valley. The vines are trellised to a vertical shoot and drip irrigated.

The grapes were hand-picked, in 15kg boxes, on two separated dates. The first part, on March 24th, made up 92% of the total end-mixture, and contributed freshness, fruit and vivacity. The remaining 8% was harvested on the second week of May, adding a higher level of complexity and sweetness on the palate. Vineyard’s yield was 10 tons/ha.

The grapes were pressed whole, without prior crushing. Alcoholic fermentation took place with selected yeasts and controlled temperatures between 13.5°C and 14.5°C, over a period of 24 days.

Aged 4 months in used French oak barrels to provide the wine with some evolution.
